on the 5th day of August, 1844.— Personally appeared before me , Justice of the peace in and and for Said , Jesse Price, and on the 5th day of August 1844. Jesse Price, and after being duly sworn according to law deposeth and saith. that on or about the 18th or 20th. of April. 1844, in the city of , county aforesaid, . said to deponenthe <​I​> put pistols in his <​my​> pockets one night and went to Joseph Smith’s house, determined to blow his infernal brains out, and his determination was that he would do it, b but he <​I​> could not get the opportunity to shoot him then: that <​but​> he <​I​> was <​am​> determined he <​I​> would <​will​> [illegible] shoot <​him <​Smith​>​> the the first opportunity; and said further said to deponent, “<​&​> You will see blood <​&​> thunder & devastation in this place, but I shall not be here” and further saith and further <​&​> deponent saith not, further [p.
