This Indenture, made and entered into this twenty second day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four, Between & Sarah [Phinney] Foster of the County of and State of of the first part, and Joseph Smith as Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of the and aforesaid, of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Forty Dollars, lawful money of the , to them in hand, well and truly paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part and his successors in office forever, a part of Lot numbered (52) in Block numbered (4) of Kimballs addition to , Hancock County, Illinois, commencing on the South end of Lot aforesaid, twelve Rods from the South East corner of the same, running thence North to the centre of Munson Street, thence East to centre of Fulmer Street, thence South to the South line of aforesaid Lot, thence West along the line to the place of beginning as per survey of J. Wilson Williams County Surveyor.
