Went to Municipal Court— & adjourned hearing <​of the case​> to the 17th. at 8 a m
17 October 1843 • Tuesday
<​17​> Went to Municipal Court— the prosecutor not appearing, Court ordered that the be discharged.
18 October 1843 • Wednesday
<​18​> Pleasant and comfortable day.
Fifteen deaths have occurred during the past week in the .
19 October 1843 • Thursday
<​19​> Warm and Pleasant day.
The water has risen about two feet in the — & is still rising—
about noon started for , in company with bro , arrived there about Sundown, & I staid at bro ’s for the night

returned from a mission to the Eastern <​part.​> <​State of ,​> with about 100 Emigrants— some of them from : which he <​joined his company​> fell in with him on the way—
warm smoky day with strong wind, very dark evening.

Pleasant cool day.
22 October 1843 • Sunday
<​Sunday 22​> Meeting at the , preached 1/2 hour “on Poor Rich Folks”.
I remained at home all day, and held a prayer meeting at my house at 2 p m 24 persons present—
, , & returned from their mission to the Eastern States, having <​in connection with <​Elder and​> ​> having visited the in <​Kentucky,​> ; ; ; ; ; ; Rhode Island; N Hampshire & , held , set in order the ; collected for the , & Subscriptions for the ; many, & stirred up a general system of among the Saints in the Eastern Countries, they have been absent near 4 months and have accomplished a good work <​I was very glad to see them & blest them in the name of the Lord​>. Elders <​& Bradford Elliott also returned from their mission​> and quite a respectable number of Saints returned <​came​> in their Company— I was very glad to see them and blest them in the
