Before me, a Justice of the peace within and for said , personally came and Sarah Foster the above named grantors and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the above Deed to be thier voluntary act for the use and purposes therein expressed. And the said Sarah Foster being examined by me separate and apart from her said , and the contents of the said Deed being fully made known to her upon such separate examination declared, that she did voluntarily sign, seal and acknowledge the same, and that she is still satisfied therewith.
In Testimony Whereof; I have hereunto set my hand and placed my seal, this sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three

to Uriel Driggs for Pt of E 1/2 of S. W. 1/4 Sect. 6 N. 8 W.
This Indenture made and Entered into, This twel[ft]h day of March in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty-two between and — his wife, of the county of and State of , of the one part, and Uriel Driggs of the county of and aforesaid, of the other part Witnesseth, that the said and his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifteen 49/100 Dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said Uriel Driggs his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of Land, situate and being in the county of in the State of , viz: A lot of land containing 10.52 Acres, more or less, in the East 1/2 of the S. W. qr. of Section 6. Township 6 N. Range 8 West of the 4th. Pr. Meridiun bounded as follows on the North by the Centre of the commerce & Rushville State Road on the East by land owned by Mr. Casper on the south by the Section line between Sections 6 & 7 on the West by land owned by Lewis Robison For a more particular description [p. 59]
