inhabitants thereof died. <​/​> And it came to pass, that Mathusalah <​29 <​30​>/​> lived one hundred Eighty & seven years & begat Lamech; & Mathusalah lived, after he begat Lamech, seven hundred eighty & two years & begat sons & Daughters. & all the days of Mathusalah were nine hundred & eighty <​sixty​> & two <​nine​> years; & he died. <​/​> & Lamech lived an hundred eighty <​&​> two years And begat <​30 <​31​>/​> a son, & he called his name Noah, saying, This son shall comfort us concerning our work & toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed. & Lamech lived after he begat Noah, five hundred & ninety & five years, & begat sons & daughters. & all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy & seven years; & he died. <​*​> <​/​> And <​it came to pass that when​> Noah was five <​1​> hundred years old And Noah <​he​> begat Shem Ham & Japheth. <​/​>

Chapter V <​8​>th Noahs Prophecy of the deluge &c
<​2/​> And it came to pass that Noah & his Sons hearkened unto the Lord & gave heed & they were called the sons of God & when there <​these​> men began to multiply on the face of the earth & daughters were borne unto them that the sons of men saw that their daughters were fair they took them wives even as they chose. <​/​> & the Lord said unto Noah the daughters of thy <​3/​> sons have sold themselves For Behold mine anger is kindeled against the sons of men for they will not hearken to my voice. <​/​> And it came to pass that Noah prophecied & taught <​3/​> the things of God even as it was in the begining & the Lord said unto Noah my spirit shall not always strive with man for he shall know that all flesh shall die Yet his days shall be an hundred & twenty years and if men do not repent I will send in the floods upon them. <​/​> And in those days <​4/​> there were giants in <​on​> the Earth And they sought Noah to take away his life but the Lord was with Noah & the power of the Lord was upon him & the Lord ordained Noah after his own order & commanded him that he should go forth & declare the <​his​> Gospel unto the children of men even as it was given unto Enoch. <​/​> And <​5/​> it <​it​> came to pass that Noah called upon the children of men that they should repent but they hearkened not unto his words & also after that they had heard him they came up before him Saying Behold we are the Sons of God have we not taken unto ourselves daughters of men & are we not eating & drinking [p. 26]
