To the Honorable the Municipal Court of the City of —
The Undersigned your respectfully represents that he is a citizen of that he is now under arrest in the City of by Virtue of a Warrant of Commitment Issued by a Justic of the Peace in and for Said that your is now in the Custody of a Constable in and for Said who holds your by Virtue of the aforesaid Warrant of Commitment— Your further avers that on the 22 Inst. he Was arrested upon a Charge of Larceny and Brought before the Said Justice a aforesaid and Examined upon a Charge of having Stolen a Clothes Brush the Property of one of Said — the Said being the Person who made the affidavit upon which the Said Warrant Was Issued against your — Your further avers that his Said Arrest is Illegal in this that the Said Warrant of Commitment by virtue of which your is now held in Custody does not aver that your — has been Examined upon any crime or criminal charge known to the Laws of this . that the Said Warrant is not in conformity with the Laws of the a copy of which is hereunto annexed— Your further avers that he is not [p.
