This Indenture made. and Entered into. this first day of February in the year of our Lord. one thousand eight hundred and forty two between Joseph Smith and his wife. of the county of and State of , of the one part, and of the county of and aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that the Said Joseph Smith, and his wife for and in consideration [p. 489] <​N ½ Lot 1 in Block 126 ​>
of the sum of three hundred dollars. to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant. bargain, Sell, Convey, and Confirm unto the said his heirs and assigns forever. all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of in the State of , Viz: the North half of lot No One in Block No One hundred and twenty six in sd as recorded on the plat of — Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining To Have and To Hold the above described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Joseph Smith and his wife their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises. unto the said his heirs and assigns against the Claim or Claims of all and every person whomsoever do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents— In Testimony Whereof. the said Joseph Smith and his wife of the first part have hereunto, set their hands and seals. the day and year above written
