The State of To the Sheriff of Greeting—
You are hereby commanded to take the Bodies of Joseph Smith Smith Jr, , , Perry Durphy [Durfee], Ephraim Owens [Owen], John Lemmon, , Alanson Brown, James Bingham, Amos Tubbs [Tubs], Absolem Senchfield [Absalom Sentchfield] William Alridge [Aldrich], , and ; if they be found in said County of and there safely keep so that you have the said Defendants before the Judge of our Daviess Circuit Court on the first day of the next Term Thereof, to be holden at the seat of Justice for said County of on the second Monday in August next it being the Twelfth day of said Month, Then and there to answer to an Indictment in said Court Pending against them for Riot, Herein fail not and have you then and there this writ—
