Before me Joseph Smith Mayor of of the City of personally came William Nisewanger [Niswanger] who being duly sworn according to law, deposeth & saith that on the 14th. Inst in the City of certain Cotton-wood Logs nine or Ten in number belonging to said deponent were taken from near Thompsons Lime-kiln willfully & maliciously as deponent believes & conveyed away feloniously and deponent verily believes that one Daniel Brown of this did take said Logs & convey them away and one Thomas S Edwards of said he further believes was aiding & abetting in the removal of said Logs & further this deponent saith not.
