The stated to the council that [he] had selected the number to fill the council to 50. Some of those he had selected were now present and some away and was sick. He said there are a number of the members of this council absent on business who will probably be gone some length of time and he could see no impropriety in taking in other good men to occupy their seats in their absence. He had invited also , a Lamanite to sit with us, and receive instructions to prepare him for future business. He was of the mind that , and and be admitted with us to day [p. [373]]
