<3 4> Monday 4th Transacted business at my house (LL. 92) room, and paid him off, principle and interest to the last farthing for all <that myself or> the church had had of him, excepting he left a few dollers he was to have out of my , to be taken as he had need, about this time the British
<5> Tuesday 5, Settled with brother [William] Niswanger.
<6> Wednesday 6th. of April, <1842> being the first day of the 13th year of the rise of the chuch of Jesus Chrst of Letter Day Sai[n]ts. A special conferece had been appointed to be at the city of . but it was so wet & cold it was not p[r]udent for me to go out, as my helth was not good, and I spe[n]t the day with my family, , & Elder & called on me in the morning, & I gave them instructions how to organize & adjou[r]n the conferce. Before they left, & the 12 presnt, bore testimny that they had never heard me teach any principles but those of the strictst virtue, either in public or private. “Confence Minutes, Spcial Confernce. City of April 6, 1842. The day (T&S. 761) ”

<12> Tuesday 12. I atteded the Meeting of the Lodge. “The Twelve viz. , , , , , , & , Clerk, assembled in the Lodge Room at 4 o.k. PM. & appoi[n]ted , & a committee to hand out some <make arrangments> [p. 8]
