I continued busily engaged engaged in making out a list of debters & an invoice of my poperty to be passed into the hands of the assigneee until
Satuday evening,— the 16th on which day the first No of “the Wasp” a miscellaneous. weekly News paper was first published at my office,— , Editor, devoted to the Arts, Science, literature, Agricultue, Manufactur, trade, commerce, & the generl news of the day, on a small sheet at $1.50 per annum.
17 Sunday 17, Spent the day with my family at home.
18 Monday 18, I went to in company with my brothr & , and severally testified to our lists of insolvency before the clerk of the County Commissioners Court, & many more brethren were at on the same day & business.— My clerk, went with us.—
*About this Time a disturbance broke out in Rhode island, by a part of the inhabitants wishing to change their constitutions & make it like other states in the union.— which created much confusion & angry feeling in that State— and excitement in other states.
19 Tuesday 19, Rode out & Examined some lands near the northern limits of the .— W.
20 Wedneday 20. Assisted in Surveying Some land in Section 25. which I sold Wm Cross
21 21. Thusday Friday & Satudy, Was engaged in Temporl & Spiritual Matters at home, the office &c
22 Friday. “Honorary Degree, Ordered by the Chanceller (Wasp 11,) Registrer—”
24 Sunday 24, Preached. (LL, 94) it
25 Monday Tuesday & Wednesday, I was engaged in reading, meditation, & mostly with my family.

29. Friday 29. A conspiracy againt the peace of my household was made manifest. And it gave me some trouble to counteract the designs of certain base individuals, & restore peace. The Lord makes manifest to me many things, which is wisdom for me to make public until others can witness the proof of them.
30 Satuday 30. I received a visit from of — & spent most of the day with him & my family, signed deeds to & & many others— [p. 10]
