after labor pains have existed some time. mouth of the womb will enlarge.— in this case by violenc[e] I would think.— it would not be Justifiable to force open the womb— might be lascerated or rupturd, such lac[e]ration might be discoverd, such treatmnt would be likely to produce the effects proved no reason why physic[i]an sho[u]ld conclude the child was dead— & use means to produce delivery. could not be justified in case.
