16 January 1844 • Tuesday
Janua[r]y Tuesday. Jan 16. 1844 10 AM. was brought up on complaint of . befor Municipal cou[r]t.— court as for absenting himself from <​city​> council without leave— when in attendan[ce] as a witness.— and for slanderous and abusive language toward one of the members of the coun[c]il— cou[r]t adjou[rn]ed and city council commenced their session—— and continu[e]d till two oclock.——
during which tim[e] a reonciliatin [reconciliation] took place with who had written— a slanderous letter concerni[n]g me and said many hard things— which he acknowledged. and I forgave him.— & I went before the council & stated that all difficulties betwen me and are eternally buried, and I am to be his frie[n]d forever. To which replied I will be his frend forever. & his right ha[n]d man.

At home. Entirview [interview] with Bro Philpss.—
