They think by dilligent application we can be admitted to the bar. in twelve month<​s.​>. The result of the council was, that, Prest. Smith & volunteer and be tried by in (.) being present being previously notified to attend the council. Thursday the 6th Prest. Smith repaired to s to stand trial, he was accompanied by several of the bretheren among whoom was Prest. Judge & &c. &c. Prest Smith thought it not wisdom to make his appearance before the public in consequence of the many threats made against him and the high state of exitement in that place, The trial could not go on in consequence of the absence of the and lack of testimony, consequently the court adjourned till tomorrow at 10 Oclock at A s some 6 or 8 miles farther south, and also he is a real mob character, he lives within [p. 79]
