Glasgow August 28th 1844
Dear Brethren,
We greet you in the name of our common Lord deeply sympathizing with you at the great loss sustained by the with your many sore trials and adversities you have been surrounded with The irreparable loss of our Dearly beloved and esteemed Brethren may well humble us at home and abroad The saints here as well as throughout in common with the public generally feel deeply this sad stroke and although the common enemy of all men has no doubt supposed he hath triumphed over the Saints in this he will find that the martyrs of The Church will prove the Seed of its future destiny and universality throughout the world We bless dearly beloved Brethren our Eternal Father that we already see fruits upon this not only [p.
