After which was appointed to ordain the above named brethren to their respective offices.
After this a letter written by Joseph Smith jr. was read by Dated August 16, 1834.
A petition written by to the of State of was read and accepted.
Nominated and as first Elder to go forth to the land of and preach by the way and if approved of by the Revelator should be accounted worthy and numbered as such.
After this proceeded and addressed the Elders on the subject of their teaching, and conduct &c.
Descided by the presidents and sanctioned by the council that the first Elders go forth as soon as they can get ready and preach by the way to .
Voted and carried that the first Elders recieve a copy of the above resolution.
Application made by Elder to be promoted to the high priesthood.
Voted and carried that Isaac Follis go forth and preach inasmuch as he can situate his family and leave them comfortable
Voted and carried that those Elders that came up in the Camp apply for a dismissal of , and for a recommend to Bishop, to go forth to preach the gospel.
Voted and carried that be ordained a teacher, was appointed to ordain him to that office.
Closed by singing. ’Ere long the vail will rend in twain &c. and prayer by .
