An Ordinance in relation to Stores and Groceries.
<​Repealed May 14th 1842​>
Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of , that from & after the passage of this ordinance no Person shall be permitted to keep a Store or Grocery within the City of , without a License for that purpose, which License shall be granted for the same amount, and under the same regulations, as that for Taverns & Ordinaries contemplated in the 2nd. Section of the ordinance entitled “An Ordinance to regulate Taverns & Ordinaries in the City of ;” & any Person who shall without such License, Sell, or offer for Sale, any Goods, Wares, Merchandize, or Groceries, shall, upon Conviction thereof, incur a Penalty of Ten Dollars for every Months delay.
Sec. 2. Nothing herein contained shall be so construed as to Authorize the violation of “An Ordinance in relation to Temperance.”

Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of , that the Names of certain Streets in the City of be, and the same hereby are, changed as follows; to Wit: Carlin to Hyde; Bluff to Woodruff; Back to Page; Warsaw to Mulholland; Bennett to Cahoon; Wilcox to Green; Mulholland to Bennett; Lumber [p. 74]
