to Samuel Taft for E 1/2 of L. 2 in B 10 also Nort west 1/2 L 1 in B 10 in s second addition to
Know all men by these presents that I and my wife of the county of and State of have barganed and Sold for the consideration six hundred Dollars received to our full satisfaction to Samaul. Taft of the city of and State of a certin peice, and parcel of Land situated in the city of and state of and is known as the East half of Lot No— 2 in Block No. 10 in the second addition of to containing one half acre of Land. also the West half half of Lot No. 1 in Block no. 10 in s Second addition to containing one half acre of Land. Togather with all that belongs or in anywise appertaining thereunto to have and to hold the above described premises unto the said Samaul Taft his heirs forever and I and my wife will defend the aforesaid premises against all Lawful claiming whatsoever and will for ever warrant by these presents in witness whereof we have this the 17. day of April 1843 set to our hands and seals L. S. L. S. State of Illinois I, Abranham Lincon Justice of the Peace in and for the county of and State of do certify that and his wife whose Signatures appears to the foregoing Deed and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in and who executed the same did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyence for the uses and purposes therein mentioned; and the said having been by me and made acquainted [p. 131]
