I an acting Justice of the Peace in and for said hereby certify that Ransom Shepard and Mary A. his wife whose signatures appear to the foregoing deed and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in and who executed the same did severally acknowledge that they did the same voluntarily and for the uses and purposes therein set forth. And the said Mary A. Shepard being by me examined seperate and apart from her said husband did acknowledge that she did the same and relinquished her right of dower in the premises freely, voluntarily and without compulsion of her said husband
