To the Honorable City Council of the City of
We your petitioners, the “Old Policemen” pray your Honorable Body that you will will pass an ordinance which will allow the complainant to have one half the amount which may be recovered against those who shall be found guilty of Selling spriteous liquors contrary to the ordinances of the , and also let it be specified by ordinance that any regular Policeman Shall have power to serve any subpoena, summons, warrant or as the case may; in the same manner as the High Constables of the . and we as in duty bound will ever pray.
