Greeting:—
Whereas complaint has been made before me, one of Justices of the peace, within and for said county of , upon the oath of of said : that one , (name suppose to be “John’) of said , living about 4½ miles south of did on the second day of December 1843, with force and arms, in a<​n​> unlawful manner, with others, seize kidnap and carry out of the a man named .
These are therefore to command you, forthwith to apprehend the said and bring him before me, or some other Justice of the peace, to answer the premises and further to be dealt with according to law.
Given under my hand and seal, at in the aforesaid this 11th day of December, one thousand eight hundred and forty three.
