Married Eliza McClure, 2 Jan. 1831, in Barren Co. Moved to Carthage, Hancock Co., Illinois, by 1835. Among original corporators of Carthage Female Seminary, 15 Feb. 1837. Appointed Hancock Co. school commissioner, Mar. 1841. Served as Hancock Co. tax collector, by Mar. 1841. Moved to Louisiana, where he died.
