This Indenture made, and entered into, This Twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred forty-two, between Ethan Kimball of the county of and state of of the one part, and Joseph Smith of the county of and aforesaid, of the other part Witnesseth, that the said Ethan Kimball for and in consideration of the sum of Fifteen hundred dollars, to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said Joseph Smith his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of in the state of , viz: The South West quarter of section (25) Twenty five in Township (7) Seven North of Range (8) <​Eight​> West containing one hundred and sixty acres. also the South East quarter of section (26) Twenty six in Township No (7) Seven North of Range (8) Eight West containing One hundred and sixty acres. also The North East quarter of section No (35) Thirty five Township and Range aforesaid containing one hundred and sixty acres and containing in the whole four hundred and <​Eight​> acres be the same more or less: Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining To Have and To Hold the above described premises unto the said Joseph Smith his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Ethan Kimball his heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises, unto the said Joseph Smith his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents
