This Indenture made and entered into this eleventh day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and forty one between of the County of and State of and Joseph Smith sole Trustee in trust for the of the County of and state aforesaid
Witnesseth that the said for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and for my love and affection to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have granted bargained sold and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Joseph Smith Sole Trustee in trust for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the following described tracts of land situated in No Nine in the Ninth Range of Townships, in the , in the State of , and which is also in Lake County and is known as part of Lots Nos 29–30 & 31 and is bounded as follows, to wit: on the east by the road leading from to Aurora and by Andrew J B[e]ardsleys land, South by N Collins land and lot No forty three, and the line of lot No Forty two, agreeable to the new survey. West by land surveyed off to Seth Makepeace from Lot No Twenty nine and by the road leading by William Fosters. North by Lot No Sixteen and by Fifty one acres and twenty seven rods surveyed [p. [1]] off to from lot No Thirty in tract one, supposed to contain, one hundred and forty four acres of land, reserving from the above tracts of land, all and every such lots or parcels of land as have been bargained sold and conveyed by deed, by the said to any person or persons since the above described tracts have been in his hands
To have and to hold the above described premises / excepting the reservations as aforesaid, with all their appurtenances improvements and priveleges unto the said Joseph Smith Sole Trustee <​in trust​> for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And the said and Rosanah [Rosannah Robinson Marks] his wife the aforesaid premises unto the said Joseph Smith <​Sole​> Trustee in trust for the Church of Jesus Christ, excepting the reservations as aforesaid, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do, and will warrant and for ever defend

I a justice of the peace of said do certify that and Rosanah his wife whose signatures appear to the above and foregoing deed, are personally known to me to be the identical persons described in and [p. And the <​sd​> Rosanah Marks being made acquainted with the contents of said conveyance and examined by me separate and apart from her acknowledged that she— relinquished her Dower to the premises herein conveyed freely voluntarily and without compulsion of her .
