Know all men by these presents that I Joseph Smith of and State of , in consideration of the sum of Four hundred <​and fifty​> dollars, to me in hand paid by of the place above mentioned the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have and do hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said , his heirs and assigns the following described town lots viz: Lots No three and four in Block No twenty one two in the town of formerly , and also lots No One and four in block no one in the first addition to said
To have and to hold the same to the said his heirs and assigns forever And, the Said Joseph Smith doth hereby Covenant to warrant and forever defend said premises to the said his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims of all persons, whosoever, In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand, and seal this Twenty fifth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and forty four,

I an acting Justice of the peace in and for the County of do certify that personally appeared before me, and did acknowledge that he signed the within Deed for the uses and purposes therein expressed as the agent of Joseph Smith Sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints, and that the same is his free act and Deed. Given under my hand and seal this the 24 day of July 1844.
