The People of the State of , To Joseph Smith Esq., justice of the peace, and any constable of said , GREETING:
WHEREAS, on the Sixth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two a judgment was rendered by Joseph Smith—— Esq., a Justice of the Peace within and for the said county of <​City of ​>, against in a suit instituted by the City of —— against —— for the Sum of Fifty—— Dollars and <​fine——​> Cents, and Six 25/100 Dollars—— Costs of said suit, from which said judgment, the said has—— appealed to the Circuit Court of said . You are therefore hereby enjoined and required to suspend all further proceedings in relation thereto, until our said court shall make other order to the contrary, And this you shall in no wise omit at your peril.
